The Calm

It was quiet in the small settlement of Salvation. The powerful winds of the Cold Snap had passed on over the rest of Sunfire Valley, kicking up enormous dust storms and Weird crystal mirages, but in Salvation there was only the distant sound of crashing waves. This did not however, bring a feeling of peace as one might expect. As the warmth of the sun peered over horizon and chased away the cold of winter, there was a growing feeling of unease that settled over the town. They all knew what came with the warming temperatures. The Husks that hibernated through the winter would be waking soon. It was time for Salvation to face its first Thaw.
